DoubleClick recently announced that its mobile division, DoubleClick Mobile, is integrating with mobile ad networks — including AdMob, Google's AdSense for mobile content, and Millennial Media's premium MBrand network as well as its Decktrade performance network. The idea is to help mobile publishers fill more of their available inventory and earn more revenue.
Now, publishers using DoubleClick Mobile can sell mobile display inventory indirectly, through automated access to one or more networks of mobile advertisers. Publishers, of course, can continue to sell directly as they have always done. DoubleClick Mobile provides an accurate view of what inventory is available to sell, what has been sold directly and what has been filled by ad networks. By managing inventory across direct and indirect channels, DoubleClick Mobile helps publishers better monetize their mobile web content.

The video starts off like an unassuming promotion for Windows' Live Mesh services. As cool as the prospect of a completely "connected life" is, the real gem in this video is a brief glimpse of the next-generation Windows Mobile. Fast forward to about 00:32 (32 seconds) to get a sneak peak at the next major revamping of Windows Mobile - Windows Mobile 7. Compared to the sliding-pane view on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard Today Screen (Home Screen), Windows Mobile 7 looks more like an evolutionary update. Whereas Windows Mobile 6.1 is more of a cosmetic refresh on Windows Mobile (aside from much-welcomed features like threaded SMS text messages), Windows Mobile 7 looks like it has built some more functionality behind the aesthetics. The sneak-peak is too short to really get a feel for WM7, so this is all speculation. But, from what we can see, it

While BlackBerry users are busting out emails in real-time with the BlackBerry push email service, iPhone users are left to deal with a few third-party applications to enable push-email over their Outlook Exchange servers. Oh, and there's also Yahoo's iPhone push email support, but that service has been notoriously unreliable in dealing with real-time email delivery.
So, imagine our surprise on hearing that the next iPhone OS update - the iPhone OS 2.0 firmware - will launch packing native support for push email. A new "Settings" pane under a new

The BlackBerry 9000 is the next greatest thing to come out of Waterloo. With loads of pictures already circulating the interwebs and Blackberry 9000 specs already known, there's not much that we don't know about the curvy handset. Good thing for us, CrackBerry has their own BlackBerry 9000 live and in-hand for an in-depth look at RIM's new user interface. The BlackBerry 9000 sports BlackBerry OS 4.6 and the video below shows off the new UI's slick aesthetic. Menu icons light up as you scroll over them and the display's 480×320 resolution really gives the graphics a shiny, high-end look. And, the faster processor gives BlackBerry OS 4.6 a swiftness that previous BlackBerry handsets lacked.

Wireless broadband solutions like HSPA, WiMAX and LTE have been argued to be ringing the death knell for WiFi, but that isn't stopping cable TV provider, Cablevision, from building out their own wireless broadband solution based on WiFi.
The high-speed wireless network from Cablevision will be built on existing infrastructure and will use WiFi rather than WiMAX or LTE to bring broadband internet access to its cable customers. The network build-out is expected to cost $100 per customer in and around New York City.

With Helio burning through cash like it's going out of style, the youth-targeted MVNO could really use a helping hand. And, what better way to position yourself as the premier MVNO in the US than to buy up your closest rival.
Reports are circulating that SK Telecom, Helio's only remaining parent company, and Virgin Mobile USA are negotiating a merger deal that would increase SK Telecom's US-holdings and give their US market aspirations a renewed push. If SK Telecom ends up acquiring Virgin Mobile USA, Helio and Virgin Mobile USA could be merged into a single MVNO. Both providers lease network time from Sprint, so the handsets and network technologies used between both Helio and Virgin Mobile USA will be compatible.

Sure, LTE is still several years away, but if this latest test is any indication of HSPA-based mobile broadband solutions set to hit the wireless market in the near term, the long road to LTE won't be too unbearable. Nokia Siemens networks has demonstrated their new I-HSPA (Internet High Speed Packet Access) in Austria and showed off the technology's 10.1Mbps data transfer rate.
The outstanding data speeds were achieved by using a "flat-network architecture" where the HSPA network base stations are directly connected to the internet. By connecting the base station directly to the web, users experience less latency. And, the flat network architecture allows for a smooth transition to LTE when it goes live.

Back in February we posted about Samsung SGH-i200 mid-range smartphone. Now it's officially announced, but unlike we initially thought, it will come with the latest version of Windows Mobile - 6.1 (not 6.0). The thin device seems designed to turn an average feature phone user into a full fledged smartphone junkie. This little phone has everything a novice smartphone user could dream, including HSDPA support, 2.3-inch QVGA screen, 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and an array of MS Office mobile apps that should make everyone more productive while on-the-go. Additionally, the i200's unique "light sensor" makes sure users minimize the power consumption to adjust lightness of LCD and keypad automatically. No WiFi, though.
The Samsung i200 will be launched in the European market in June and will enter other markets within a month. No pricing details were given.

Bell Mobility in Canada is set to add two mid-range devices to its portfolio. The first one, Samsung Ace, is considered to be the BlackJack's younger brother, boasting full QWERTY keyboard, Windows Mobile 6 Standard edition, 1.3 megapixel camera, microSD slot, Bluetooth support. The lack of 3G and WiFi may be a dealbreaker for some people, hence they may ignore it on May 12th when it officially hits the Bell's portfolio.

If you remember Verizon announced Motorola Q 9c during this year's CTIA. The Moto-made smartphone is now available for $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate and with a new two-year customer agreement.
The full QWERTY-keyboard equipped device is ideal for anyone who aims to increase it's on-the-go productivity, but also cares about how his/her device looks. Specs wise, the Moto Q 9c runs Windows Mobile 6 and among other things sports a 2.4 inch screen, 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, 128 MB of on-board memory and optional removable memory future-proofed up to 32 GB, speakerphone. The folks behind Orb, the application/service that allows you to stream content from your PC to other devices, just announced the iPhone support. Now Apple handset's users are able to access all the content from their PC — including TV — to their shiny device. Naturally, iPod Touch is also supported but it is required, however, that both iPhone and/or iPod are jailbroken. And while we have nothing against that — on the contrary, we support iPhone being totally open — I'm curious to see how will Apple react to this. I guess Orb could argue this is just a temporary solution, until the new firmware with third-party apps becomes available. In the meantime, you can grab OrbLive from "Multimedia" menu in the Installer.app, or check out the short video demonstration of Orb in "iPhone action" after the jump.

So much about the mid-May release. It's May 9th and Sprint is following the Verizon suit by launching the same device - BlackBerry Curve 8330. That's push email taken to the speed of EV-DO. Add GPS on top of that, and you're ready to push your addiction through the limits.
Apparently, Sprint has solved all the problems it have had and now the device is compatible with such carrier's services like Sprint TV, Sprint Music Store and Sprint OnDemand. Interested users will have to pour out $179 (after mail-in rebate and instant savings) and sign a two-year agreement in order to grab one.

Want to control your TiVo from your iPhone or iPod Touch? Now you can do that thanks to the new application called (no surprise here) TiVoRemote. The application is compiled by TiVo Community Forum's member "Duckfin" and is still in the "quick and dirty" phase, hence user interface could use some polishing. After all, it should work on your beautiful phone/media player.

Motorola seems to have signed a multi-device agreement with Ferrari as this is the second phone they're rolling out with the famous sports car branding. The first one, RIZR Z8 Ferrari Limited edition, we introduced back in December last year. Now, the American handset maker is reportedly working on a version of the RAZR2 V9 that would also wear the prancing horse brand.
The still unannounced Motorola RAZR2 V9 Ferrari Edition will reportedly have the exact same specs as the original RAZR2 V9 — HSDPA support, 2.2-inch screen, 2 megapixel camera Bluetooth, microSD slot — but would also add some Ferrari-themed content. The bad thing for Ferrari fans, though, is that preliminary reports suggest the best-looking-RAZR2 will go on sale to markets in Latin America and Asia, at least initially.

No wonder Sprint decided to move the mid-May Curve 8330 release to May 9th. After Monday, no one will want another BlackBerry than the long-awaited 9000 model.
The always highly informed Boy Genius is saying the information is 100% confirmed and we trust him. Research In Motion will officially announce its next-gen smartphone during the first day of WES 2008 in Orlando, Florida. CrackBerry addicts set your stopwatches and in the meantime, don't forget to check out how the new UI looks like, if you still haven't.
