LG planning 125 phones for 2009

If you were wowwed by DoCoMo pumping out 22 handsets in the next three months, LG is planning to put out 125 phones by the end of 2009, which works out to an average of two new phones every day worldwide. At first glance, that’s quite the clip to be releasing devices, but LG isn’t bothered.

LG aims for low-tier device sales boost

The Korea Times is reporting that LG is changing its strategy in Mobile, to aim for lower-end handsets - i.e. those in the $100-150 region. This will allow LG to expand in markets where its hold maybe isn’t so strong - but also to try....

AT&T today announced four phones to appeal to the texting generation, if there is such thing. We knew about the Matrix, Propel and Quickfire. Slate, on the other hand was a surprise, or at least we’ve missed it.
