Motorola seems to have signed a multi-device agreement with Ferrari as this is the second phone they're rolling out with the famous sports car branding. The first one, RIZR Z8 Ferrari Limited edition, we introduced back in December last year. Now, the American handset maker is reportedly working on a version of the RAZR2 V9 that would also wear the prancing horse brand.
The still unannounced Motorola RAZR2 V9 Ferrari Edition will reportedly have the exact same specs as the original RAZR2 V9 — HSDPA support, 2.2-inch screen, 2 megapixel camera Bluetooth, microSD slot — but would also add some Ferrari-themed content. The bad thing for Ferrari fans, though, is that preliminary reports suggest the best-looking-RAZR2 will go on sale to markets in Latin America and Asia, at least initially.

Motorola Home and Networks Mobility has just announced some significant milestones during Q108, including the shipment of 4m digital entertainment devices! In case you are wondering what digital entertainment devices inlcudes; digital cable set-top boxes, HDTV set-top boxes, DVR devices and IPTV devices.
Why is this important for Mobile? Well, apart from the fact it's nice to see a story with Motorola (as a whole) doing so well, the keyword here is Convergence - most of the equipment sold will either have provision for future-proofing in terms of hardware, and/or software - that "future-proofing" is more about extending the product lifespan and adding functionality than bug-fixing - and how better to add functionality than provide connectivity, sync, exchance, and up/download with mobile devices.

It's too bad Motorola hasn't seen fit to bring the Motorola A1600 MING 2 to the US. The FCC has just checked off on the uniquely-designed A1600 MOTOMING 2 handset, which is good news to anyone looking forward to getting their hands on the Motorola clamshell.
The Moto A1600 MING 2 ups the ante on its A1200 MING predecessor with a 3.2 megapixel camera, quad-band (850/900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM/EDGE radio, and and alleged WiFi radio, while keeping the MING's characteristic see-through flip-design.

Just a brief update, Carl Icahn, who has been the only man with the money who can actually do something about the leaking Motorola ship, has increased his stake in the company from 6.4% to 7.6%.

About time that Moto's RIZR Z10 sees the light of day, and it'll be shining in O2's spotlight as an exclusive for at least the first little while. Featuring a 3.2 megapixel camera, quad-band GSM / EDGE, single-band HSDPA, support for up to 32GB of pop-in memory, a winning kick-slide form factor, and O2 has even seen fit to pitch in the Borne Ultimate collection on the included 1GB microSD card. If you're a fan of vid and pic editing, the built in editing software on the Z10 should keep you happy with the ability to add a soundtrack, overlay text, and even upload your 30fps opus right to YouTube from the handset. So there ya have it, if you're in the UK and have from $free to £149.99 (roughly $300) to spend, it may well be worth having a peek at.

Remember that three-pack of phones Verizon promised for April delivery a while back? Two of them have materialized as promised, but the third -- the Motorola Q9c -- is missing in action. The popular rumor seems to be that they've pushed the launch date out just a smidge to May 15, though with the Q9m already in the lineup, we suspect this one won't be causing as much panic than if either the enV(2) or XV6900 had slipped. Or will it?

Motorola's new Linux-based A810 smartphone breezed through the FCC recently, and it looks really nice. This full-touchscreen handset features a minimum of hardware buttons, instead relying on the touchscreen for navigation - a stylus is included.
The Motorola A810 sports a 2 megapixel camera, but no flash, unfortunately. There is a microSD card slot beneath the battery for expanded memory, and a standard 3.5mm audio jack will make music listening convenient. An FM radio is also on board, as well as Bluetooth support.

The T-Mobile Motorola W490 is coming in light pink, light purple & orange soon. Apparently, colors sell well for the T-Mobile Motorola W490, since they already have 3 colors available: black, purple & green.
The T-Mobile Motorola W490 features include: a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, myFaves compatibility, music player, EDGE, text messaging & speakerphone. It’s not exactly a powerhouse, but the new light pink, light purple & orange colors should at least add some variety to the mix. When released, you should be able to pick the new T-Mobile Motorola W490’s up for $49.99 after rebates and 2 year agreement.

How nice! Mororola's Sidekick phones can now run NES games thanks to a new application by AcidAngel.
It is a fully functional NES emulator that uses ROMs to run old Nintendo games.
We don't know if the program is freeware (ROM's are illegal, you know) and when it will be available.
Anyway, the idea itself is cool; I personally wouldn't mind to bring back my old days, when I couldn't tear myself away from the TV screen.
