This new handheld device called the Ogo2.0 has a QVGA screen resolution with built in speakers, which are not ear blowing but still reasonable, and are in stereo of course. You can expand the memory because it has a microSD expansion memory slot that is superb if you want to watch video clips and want to store masses of music. This version of the Ogo emphasizes Web2.0 interactive content interface, and what is more has a full QWERTY QWERTZ keyboard. Because this device has Web 2.0, this means that you can be fully mobile with blogs, podcasts and so much more.

Nokia N77 passes FCC
Posted on Mar 09 2007 10:19 AM by Zek Mike
Filed Under: Nokia , News ,

Not to suggest there's any... oh, you know, "service" you can subscribe to in these parts that rocks mobile TV over the DVB-H airwaves, but an FCC approval is always a good sign -- and the presence of an upstart service provider working its rear off to get picked up by a carrier always helps, too. The 3.5mm jack-sportin', S60-havin' N77 from Nokia is the latest DVB-H equipped handset to get signed off by the FCC, and while we don't have any word of a GSM 850, UMTS 850 / 1900 version floating around, we can't help but hope that an eventual Modeo success could lead to phones like this magically gaining bands; until then, we'll just be tooling around with our Foreseers.

camera-less Treo 680
Posted on Mar 08 2007 9:23 AM by Zek Mike
Filed Under: News ,

Everyone knows what a Treo is, and this business-centric handset had lots of things going for it except for the integrated digital camera that was frowned upon by the user community as it could compromise security in the workplace. Imagine snapping photos of company documents and secrets, sending them out via e-mail or on a USB flash drive. Granted, a VGA camera can’t really compete with consumer level digital cameras, but they are still capable of snapping the occasional spyshot of products and certain hardware. Palm has responded to this scenario by releasing a revamped model of the Treo 680 that does not come with the VGA camera - a decision that will enable top level management to breathe easier as they decide on what kind of communications device should they get for their workers during the next round of meetings.

Sony Ericsson recently announced not one but eight new mobile phones!Four of those models are targeted at emerging markets (K200, K220,J110 and J120). Those mobile phones lack advanced features like 3G support or bluetooth connectivity, but they should be “good enough” for the average customer since they pack a digital camera and some multimedia functionalities. All four, including the J110, display Sony Ericsson’s signature styling and premium feel, yet manage to keep simplicity and ease-of-use at the heart of their design.

Security Camera Mobile
Posted on Feb 27 2007 9:08 AM by Zek Mike
Filed Under: News ,

You can place this phone in any position and in any place that you feel it will be of any use. Basically the 3rd I system is a cross between a camera and a mobile phone, what you do is set the camera up where want it, the phone is a mobile phone, so there is no need for the device to be placed near a phone socket or even an electrical socket, as the battery will last for some days on the 3rd I device but if you are going away for some time, then clearly you will need this to be plugged into the mains in order for it to stay operational for long enough. The device is then set, you can choose the type of setting but the most effective would be the motion detector which works on the principal that if some one or some thing crosses the phones or cameras path then this will activate the system, this will then send your mobile phone an alert or will cal you, then you are able to take the appropriate action.

Samsung SCH-u740
Posted on Feb 21 2007 10:08 AM by Zek Mike
Filed Under: Samsung ,

Samsung's latest dual-hinged handset, the SCH-u740, hit Verizon this week. The specs on this thing won't blow you away, but for $200 (with two year contract) you get a messaging-centric EV-DO phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera, a microSD memory card slot (the u740 supports playback of MP3 and WMA audio files), and Bluetooth (including DUN support). First impressions: the u740 is decently thing, but we're not really digging the champagne finish on this thing, it actually makes the u740 look cheaper than it should. Screen resolution is a disappointing 176 x 220 pixels, but we're pretty pleased with how solid the dual-hinge is, at least so far, and switching between modes is totally seamless. The QWERTY keyboard is nothing special, the keys are a little slippery and aren't very easy to type on. They have made a few (mostly cosmetic) improvements to the UI, but the u740 is most definitely NOT a smartphone, and so even though Verizon does offer wireless sync email this probably shouldn't be the first choice for anyone who is really serious about doing email on their phone.

Mio WiFi-less A501 GPS smartphone
Posted on Feb 19 2007 10:00 AM by Zek Mike
Filed Under: News ,

While rumors of Mio cranking out a new duo of GPS handhelds had already been circulating, the company made good on offering up a slightly less-spec'd sibling to its A701 handset, and now we've got the pictures to prove it. Boasting a fairly chunky enclosure but lacking an notched antenna, the A501 packs a TI OMAP processor, 1GB of storage, 64MB of system RAM, a 2.7-inch QVGA touchscreen display, quad-band connectivity, and Bluetooth 2.0 (sorry, no WiFi). Additionally, you'll find the older rendition of Windows Mobile, the obligatory SiRF III GPS chipset, a 1.3-megapixel camera, SD / MMC expansion slots, and a removable Li-ion battery to boot.

Teclast T59 concept design
Posted on Feb 18 2007 9:28 AM by Zek Mike
Filed Under: News ,

Meizu apparently isn't the only Chinese manufacturer courting concept designs from its users -- and ripping off the iPhone with vigor while it's at it. Teclast's actual upcoming T59 might very well look nothing like these concept renders here, and obviously some of the stylings and specs here are a bit far fetched. But if Teclast can indeed deliver a Windows CE-based 3G device with GPS, WiFi and FM, along with a VGA screen, neato secondary display and other assorted hawterness -- all while dodging Apple legal, of course -- then we promise not to get too hung up on certain familiarities to other products on the market.

Looks like Samsung not only unveiled a slew of higher-end handsets and mid-tier offerings this week at 3GSM, but the company also announced a handbasket of lower-end phones as well. take a deep breath -- E590, E740, E830, E840 and P110 -- whew, that's a lot of new models, yes? Samsung -- like all cell manufacturers -- knows that you gotta feed the low end along with the high end due to market demands.
